Stephanie Mihalas, Ph.D., ABPP

Board Member

Stephanie Mihalas, Ph.D., ABPP is a licensed and board-certified psychologist, as well as a nationally certified school psychologist. She also maintains a position as Assistant Clinical Faculty at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Stephanie is the founder of The Center for Well Being in Los Angeles, where she provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults—with a focus on working with marginalized populations. Areas of clinical specialty include intergenerational trauma, bullying, and chronic illness and rare disease, including how these issues manifest at school and in the family system.

Stephanie is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in the sub-specialty of School Psychology. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in psychology with a focus on learning and organizational change, and her Master’s, Educational Specialist, and Doctorate degrees from the University of South Florida. She received pre- and postdoctoral fellowship training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Stephanie also completed the one-year psychoanalytic psychotherapy program at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies (LAISPS).

Stephanie is a professional member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). She has won two presidential citations from Division 42 of the APA, as well as an Award of Mentorship.
